If you get hit and it's not your fault do the following: 1) Try not to freak out...can be kind of hard if you're leaking blood but still.
2) Get out your cell phone and start to call the police.
3) If the other person offers to 'keep the insurance out of it' tell them you want cash now, or keep dialing.
4) Get their insurance info and if you have a camera phone start taking pictures.
5) When the police show up get badge numbers and be respectful.
6) Go see a chiropractor the next day. Even if you're back isn't hurting, it'll cost $100 and if visited soon after an injury they can help prevent it from getting worse (which it will). Plus it's documented evidence of physical trauma.
